London's burningby ~mushroom2020

Traditional Art / Paintings / Illustration / Storybook

Well, I had major art block for this piece so i decided to whack out the paints and use so many colours it looked like a unicorn had thrown up rainbows onto my paper. I think i may have succeeded. It's a bit scary how rusty I am at traditioal art though, been spending too much time doing things digitally XD

EDIT: I uploaded a version with slightly higher contrast, I think the scanning process lost some of the vibrancy
This illustrates a scene where Sherlock is waiting at Trafalgar square for a murderer, smoking. At no point does london actually catch on fire, as the title might suggest :L I just had that blasted nursery rhyme in my head while painting this XD
